Here are some pictures from the May 23rd event that seven MVRC members put on for Cub Pack 619 at Eagle Creek School in Shakopee. It was a nice clear evening with just a little breeze so a little bit of flying was performed to demonstrate how we go about flying RC miniature aircraft. We also were able to do a little show and tell with static display equipment.
We displayed quite a number of aircraft including electric planes and helicopters, glo-powered planes, and even Pete’s big Panther jet. He ran up the turbine on it and really wowed the crowd. Some of the electric planes and helis were flown and the club’s LT-40 was flown behind the school property. There were around 50 or 60 boys there and a whole complement of Scout leaders and parents. Everybody learned something, even the demonstrators, and we got a lot of words of appreciation by the group.
