Fall fun Fly - 2011

The Fall Fun Fly for MVRC was on a spectacularly fine day on September 10th. Warm and sunny with light variable breeze, the event allowed the skills of the pilots to be put to the test. Carnage to the airplanes was pretty minimal and there were only a few minor miscues, such as not quite coming out of a bomb attack, striking the limbo pole, and a few hard touches on the touch and go event. Thanks to chief organizer Brian B. the event was put together and executed very smoothly and a great cookout lunch by the lovely Susan B provided a very much appreciated break from the tension of the contests.

High point winners were John H., John B. number two, and a tie for third by Jeff M. and Don R.

The prizes included a lot of much needed glues, glow plugs, fuel, and tools. Next year let’s see if we can get an even bigger turnout so even more pilots can have a lot of fun and share even more prizes. Thanks again to all the flyers, observers, judges, and workers who made this very fine event possible.
