The MVRC Fall Fun Fly was enjoyed by a stalwart and skilled group of flyers who took on the contest and challenged the cool and windy weather.   There were no real bad mishaps during the events (a couple of dings during the warm-ups) except that Randy, who traditionally adds a lot of  thrilling excitement to some of the events had an unfortunate rough landing in the weeds and was unable to fly the remainder of the events.  He continued in the day's activities giving sage advice to the old timers and offered a critical eye in the judging.  The mean easterly crosswinds made it equally challenging if the pilots approached from the north or from the south.  In scoring of points in the demanding events, the flying skills demonstrated by all of  the pilots were truly commendable and showed  a high  level of expertise and safety.  Everyone involved in putting on the event and in participating should be recognized in making this a real great fun fly event.

Winners in the Expert Class were: Mike Robin, John Berk, and Hal Brothers; in that order.

Standard Class winner was Larry Eilers.

Novice Class winner was Logan Noess, a new 14 year old whiz kid.

Gary Buddensiek was the Contest Director, and Tom Barron the Food Service Provider.
